Wine Workshops

Monday 13 March 2017 - Hopping Through Bordeaux from Left to Right Bank

Amanda Skinner from Private Cellar will be coming to join us for this workshop along with some truly exceptional wines. If you enjoy wine then whatever your knowledge then this is workshop not to be missed!

During a career of over thirty years Amanda has spent many happy days in the vineyards of Bordeaux and during this time has got to know some of the region’s leading Château-owners. This masterclass will kick off with a glass of Réserve de Sours, made in Bordeaux in the Méthode Champenoise. Amanda will then introduce two whites and four reds from six different regions in Bordeaux, guiding you through the terroirs of Pomerol, St Emilion, Margaux, Pauillac and Entre Deux Mers and - sharing her understanding of what contributes from each region to the flavours and characters of each of the wines, introducing you to each of the personalities behind the wines and the long history of this famous region. You'll also have the opportunity to purchase these wines as a special offer on the evening.

During the tasting we’ll have a break for some delicious cheese and charcuterie.
Bring some friends or come on your own – it’s the perfect way to spend a Monday evening.

The venue is The Edinburgh Academy, 42 Henderson Row, EH3 5BL.

Time 7-9pm

Tickets £25 each or £45 for a pair of tickets.
