- Malt Whisky Workshop
21st January 2019
6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
During Burns’ Night week, in response to popular demand, we’re going to be holding a Whisky Workshop for a change.
We’re heading up to the Highlands to explore The Maritime Malt with Old Pulteney and will be trying a couple of different ages along with the rather unique Huddart – a non-peaty malt which has been aged in ex-peat casks. We’ll then head down to Knockdhu to try one of my favourites; An Cnoc; a lesser known malt made in a modern style and one which has a very strong following amongst those who have had the chance to try it.
Experienced whisky enthusiast (my husband) Miles Thompson who works with these malts will be presenting the workshop. We’ll enjoy 6 in total and have the usual cheese and charcuterie along with another dram after the tasting. If you’re doing a “Dry January” then you can still join us and “nose”.
Come on your own or with a friend for a great start to Burn’s Week but without any long recitals. Tickets are £25 each and judging by the requests for this evening they’re likely to go quickly so book soon.
Venue: Edinburgh Academy
