- Malt Whisky Workshop
4th February 2019
6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Originally planned for Burns’ Week, by popular request we’re now holding our first Malt Whisky Workshop in February to accommodate for all those having a Dry January.
We’re heading up to the Highlands to explore The Maritime Malt with Old Pulteney and will be trying a couple of different ages along with the rather unique Huddart – a non-peaty malt which has been aged in ex-peat casks. We’ll then head down to Knockdhu to one of my favourites; An Cnoc; a lesser known malt made in a modern style and one which has a very strong following amongst those who have had the chance to try it. We’ll be able to compare both a peaty and non-peaty style of this malt. In addition, there’ll be the unique chance to try a new-make spirit during this workshop.
We will be honoured to have Inver House Distillers’ Global Brand Ambassador Lukasz Dynowiak presenting these malts. Lukasz is responsible for promoting these whiskies around the world and has a wealth of knowledge and experience. Previously at the Scotch Whisky Experience Lukasz presented many of Scotland’s malt whiskies to tens of thousands of people each year.
We’ll enjoy 6 in total and have the usual cheese and charcuterie along with another dram after the tasting. Come on your own or with a friend for a great start to February. Tickets are £25 each and judging by the requests for this evening they’re likely to go quickly so book soon.
Venue: Edinburgh Academy
